We knew there was a better way to work. That&#8217;s why we created ClickUp\u2014 first an internal tool, now as a way to fulfill our vision of making the world more productive.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span>More than just task management, ClickUp offers hundreds of customizable features including Docs, Whiteboards, Reminders, Goals, Calendars, and even an email inbox. The platform is fully customizable and integrates with over 1,000 other work tools, making it the optimal work management solution for every type of team. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span>Read our interview below with Lydia Minehan-Tubic, HTML and CSS Engineer at ClickUp.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-snapshot\">Snapshot<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Industry: Productivity Software<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Company Size: 800<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-problem\">The Problem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>In discussions across teams at ClickUp, there were concerns about <strong> maintenance <\/strong>and <strong>reliability<\/strong> stemming from past experiences with the WordPress based blog.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><span>&#8220;From the DevOps perspective, we didn&#8217;t have anyone who was an expert on maintaining and operating the WordPress stack. As a result, it wasn&#8217;t getting the <strong>care and attention <\/strong> it needed. We either needed to hire someone to manage it or offload it to a third party. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span>Maintaining an entirely separate set of infrastructure and tech stack for one part of the overall ClickUp organization requires <strong>effort that could be better dedicated elsewhere<\/strong>, which is why we went with Kinsta as that third party. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span>Plus, we were in the midst of a major blog redesign, so it was prudent to reenvision hosting and infrastructure while the blog was also being rethought.&#8221; <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-solution\"><strong>The Solution<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Knowing that <a href=\"https:\/\/kinsta.com\/wordpress-hosting\/enterprise\/\">Kinsta enterprise hosting<\/a> could reliably take care of specific <strong>WordPress security measures<\/strong> on our blog meant our DevOps team could <strong>prioritize the security<\/strong> of our platform.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Kinsta provided <a href=\"https:\/\/kinsta.com\/wordpress-hosting\/migration\/\"> migration <\/a> services to streamline the process. We needed a <a href=\"https:\/\/kinsta.com\/blog\/reverse-proxy\/\">reverse proxy <\/a> for the blog which was also a service offered by Kinsta. We were told our current setup including CloudFront, reverse proxy, plugins, etc. should transfer over without issue.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-result\">The Result<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>ClickUp saw improvements across the board, from <strong> transparency around blog analytics and visits <\/strong> to an <strong>easy-to-use staging site <\/strong> to <strong>excellent customer support<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><span> &#8220;Kinsta provides <strong>clear visibility into the status of the blog and our server<\/strong> via the dashboard. Additionally, the <a href=\"https:\/\/kinsta.com\/blog\/wordpress-staging-site\/\">staging instance<\/a> Kinsta offers makes it easy for our marketing team to review new features and bug fixes.&#8221; <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span><a href=\"https:\/\/kinsta.com\/docs\/wordpress-hosting\/wordpress-backups\/#wordpress-backups\">Daily backups <\/a> also proved to be invaluable to the ClickUp team. &#8220;Kinsta provides <strong>daily backups <\/strong> of both the Live and Staging instances of our blog. You also can conveniently login to <a href=\"https:\/\/kinsta.com\/docs\/wordpress-hosting\/database-management\/wordpress-database-access\/\">PHPmyAdmin<\/a> from site info to access the database.
